As mentioned by Brenda and Kelvin, we wanted to reflect on the final Southern Athletics League (SAL) event held at our home club, on Saturday, August 19th, it is with pride that we celebrate the achievements of our athletes.

Kelvin Stone said that having been a part of the athletics community for many years, he has always held a deep interest in the results and performances of our athletes. 

This SAL match was no exception, and he was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional efforts put forth by each and every competitor.

One group that truly stood out was our U17 team, comprising 14 talented athletes. Their determination showed resulting in an outstanding 8 first-place finishes. Additionally, our U20 team consisting of 5 talented athletes, secured an impressive 3 first-place victories.

  • Men's A 100m: Fosuhene ENYIAM (U17)
  • Men's B 100m: Josiah WILLIAMS (U17)
  • Men's B 400mH: Kelvin AMANKWAAH (U17)
  • Men's B High Jump: Chukwuemeka NZEKWE (U17)
  • Men's B Long Jump: William WATTS (U17)
  • Men's A Triple Jump: Ayotunde AMOKEODO (U17)
  • Women's B 200m: Aisha AMAO (U17)
  • Women's A Shot Putt: Daniella OLADELE (U17)
  • Men's B 400m: Thomas PEACOCK (U20)
  • Men's A High Jump: Charlie SEAGO (U20)
  • Men's B Triple Jump: Mason CARPENTER-PROUT (U20)
  • 5000m Men: Harvey Green (a notable first-time achievement)
    These performances deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated.
